Welcome to USS Imperator: An Obsidian Fleet Simulation

Docked at Starbase Sirius for Repair and Refit
Under the Command of Captain Thomas Winter, Imperator is one of the last homes of the Starfleet that existed for the first 200 years of the Federation. The Starfleet that would never turn a blind eye to the destruction and suffering of a former enemy. The Starfleet that defined the Federation for so many.
These are her adventures.

Good Evening Everyone,
There's no easy way to say this so I'll just come out with it.
Earlier this week, I was informed by Shawn, the player behind our Chief Engineer, that Liz, his wife and the player behind G'Kar, passed away a couple of weeks ago. This is a loss for the fleet, the sim but most of all for Shawn.
I'm sure you'll all join me in offering deepest condolences to Shawn for his loss, that he's in our thoughts, and hope that any of you who may have one faith or another will keep Shawn and his family in your prayers.
We're all sorry for your loss, my friend. The nights sky is one star brighter now. Of Liz, I will say only this.
May your journey be smooth and peaceful. May whatever afterlife you believe in treat you as well as you deserve. And may you be greeted at the gates of Stovo'kor with a barrel of blood wine!
Regards,
Ben
» Golden PADD 2018
Posted on Thu May 31st, 2018 @ 11:55pm by Rear Admiral Oliver Lancaster in General News
Hey guys,
Just an update. This year's Obsidian Day is coming up, and as of tomorrow, June 1st 2018, the Golden PADD competition will be open for submissions! Not only that, but this year, Trek submissions aren't the only option as to what genre can be submitted. So long as it's sci-fi and an original story, anything is fair game!
Go to https://www.obsidianfleet.net/2018/05/20/golden-padd-2018/ for the rules.

» Sim Rule Update
Posted on Fri Mar 2nd, 2018 @ 4:55pm by Rear Admiral Oliver Lancaster in Sim Announcement
Hello guys,
As per my recent announcement on Discord, I have taken the decision to change the rules RE activity. They are now as follows;
When tag responses will take more than 3 days (i.e. if there's an RL matter interfering), I ask that you let the other participant(s) know in a timely manner. This one is not a rule but a request.
Inactivity without communication for 7 days will result in a strike.
Inactivity for 21 days without communication will result in removal from the sim.
The CO reserves the right to change these rules without notice at any time.
These rules are in effect from TODAY (March 2nd 2018). They will not be back dated.
Any questions should be directed to me.
Hope everyone is well.
Regards,
Ben
» Class Change
Posted on Mon Jan 22nd, 2018 @ 7:20pm by Rear Admiral Oliver Lancaster in General News
Hey all,
So, update on the class change. Effective immediately, we're transferring to the USS Imperator, a Sovereign Class Starship. Heads up, there is an error where the old Wolff skin still shows on the control panel. I am aware of it and it will be worked on.
We're also going to be starting our new mission within the next day or two.
Finally, we're going to start recruiting for the vacant positions. If you know anyone who would want to apply, please, send them this way.
Hope you are all well.
Regards,
Ben

Looking out the viewport, Aedele studied the form of Starbase Sirius as it floated stationary in space. About it, shuttles buzzed about it like bees swarming in and out of a hive. In the distance, an Intrepid Class ship could be seen moving into view, though she couldn't make out…

Having reported in to Captain Winters, the next item on Lieutenant Commander Baril's list was to tour the ship and get to know what crew that wasn't currently aboard Starbase Sirius. She still felt out of place, wearing a Command Uniform as she walked down the corridor, returning nods…

Imperator has been assigned to border patrol while running some cadet training exercises. I understand the need for such things, sure, but I'm not sure I'm the best person to be doing them. After all, my relationship with my own daughter isn't exactly great.

Captain's Log, supplemental.
We're en route to Takan's rift, an anomaly on the edge of Klingon space. It's never been considered a particularly interesting anomaly by Starfleet Command. The last survey was conducted in 2345 by the Stargazer under Jean-Luc Picard. The report I read cited it as being "absolutely…

I'm still wondering as to how all this came about in Engineering. First we had damaged crystals. Sure, they were fine, but not so much for leaping through time. Then, with some quick thinking from the captain and our resident Chief Science officer, we not only fix them,, but we…
